  • Oral health outcomes research – via survey research, including patient and provider surveys, current research on the evaluation of the member’s experiences with the Iowa Dental Wellness Plan.
  • Evaluation of provider adequacy and workforce capacity – evaluation of the dental provider’s experiences and attitudes with the Iowa Dental Wellness Plan.
  • Psycho-social influencers on oral health – quantitative and qualitative evaluation of perceived social status (PSS) as a predictor for socio-economic status (SES), PSS as a predictor for oral health status and dental utilization.
  • Health care systems, health policy, and programmatic evaluations – evaluation of an integrated social work-dental program at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics.
